What makes a hero ?

When I say hero, many things come to mind. Am I talking about those everyday saviors, the ones who help old ladies who are trying to cross the street and stand up for a bullied kid at their school ? Do I mean amazing people in their field, like a revolutionary doctor or an inspiring basket baller ? Or maybe I'm referring to straight up super heroes ? This can even be about heroes in a litterary sense, with their villain counterpart. As you can see, this is a very broad subject, which is why I will narrow it down a bit.

Generally speaking, a hero is a person that is distinct from the rest of the population because of an extraordinary quality. This can be any quality : physical, emotional and psychological strength, courage, kindness, integrity...

Is everyone I hero ? Of course not. Does everyone have the potential ? I think so.
